Description
A watercolor painting from Portugal, about the Cabo de São Vicente Lighthouse in Algarve (the Cape of Saint Vincent) which is the most southwesterly point of Europe, known as the end of the world until the 14th century, which you may feel is true, if you come to visit this lighthouse on the right day.
The Romans called this spectacular place a Sacred Promontory, which can be easily see why, if you can witness a sunset there, because the sun appears unusually large as it descends over the seemingly endless sea, some say you even may hear hissing as the sun hit the horizon.
The cliff on which standing rise 60 meters above the rough seas, and guarding the busy shipping lines with its incredible bright lights which can be seen 60 miles away.
I hope you will like my new watercolor painting from my Portugal Paintings Collection.
