Artist's Description
A watercolor portrait about beloved Selene, who was a lovely Peterbald cat from the Kioko Cattery in South Africa. I haven't seen for a long time, such a beautiful, exquisite, and sophisticated creature, so when I received her photo on my Cats of Karavella Atelier Facebook page, I was mesmerised at first sight.
A beautiful photo about a delicate cat with shining eyes, and enormous ears which looked almost transparent on the photograph, so I although I like to paint with strong contrasts, tried to keep this watercolor as lightly, and transparent, as possible.
Thank you dear Nicole for sending me your photograph about Selene as inspiration it was a pleasure to paint about beautiful moon child.
