Description
A watercolor painting about the classic number 28 Lisbon Tram. Its route connect Martim Moniz and Campo Ourique, and rattles through the most popular districts of Lisbon such as Graca, Alfama, Baixa and Estrela. The traditional little yellow Remodelado trams date from the 1930s and they are very charming with its uncomfortable polished wood benches original dials.
These old trams maybe would be in museum in other countries, but till today they are integral part of the transport network, as they go on a route sometimes very steep with numerous tight turns that modern trams would be unsuitable for this task.
These trams are called Remodelado (re-modelled) because they were upgraded with improved brakes and electrics during the 1990s, but left them in original condition. If you are in Lisbon, please do not forget to ride the Yellow 28 tram, because it worth the wait, to get a ride on them.
Original Handmade watercolor painting, 38/27cm, made on 100% Arches Cotton paper, Mijello Mission Gold Watercolor. Original painting sold, prints available in variety of sizes and finish.
