Description
Marina Da Ribeira, a new handmade watercolor painting about Peniche Portugal. Peniche is around 30 km from the beaches of Sta Cruz where I live. Peniche and the sea are inseparable. It is one of the largest traditional fishing ports in Portugal and a major Atlantic hub for maritime-tourist activities.
This painting was inspired by my own photograph I took there on our recent visit.

I really like this watercolor, Dora. Congratulations on being featured. Of course the reflections and water are well rendered, but I'm particularly struck by the brilliance of the basic composition: the blues of the sky and water horizontally sliced by the color of the boats and village. And then this horizontality countered by the masts and pier posts. The fundamentals, extremely well done.
