Description
Illustration for my History of Costumes and Society essay titled Japan in the time of the Samurai between the 12th and 19th century. Samurai were Japanese warriors who were revered not only for their skill as great warriors, but also for their significant influence on the fashion and taste on Japanese society. They had both the status, intelligence, and visibility to cultivate distinctive styles, colours, and fabrics. My painting is the part of my The Age of the Samurai Collection.
