Description
My new original handmade watercolor commissioned painting titled Rua Das Laranjeiras, in English the street of the orange trees. It is an imaginary composition of a typical Portuguese village, inspired by some of my travel photos I have taken across Portugal. The photos I used to make this village scene, were from several places including centre of Portugal, Alentejo, and even from the south, Algarve.
The request for this painting was to paint a typical Portuguese environment, including the Casa Amarilla, a pleasant sunny street in wintertime, the trees with the ripe fruit ready to collect, street lights, a bench to rest and a path leads up to the house. Optional elements were cypress trees, and a church in the background .
