Portuguese Moinho

Medium
Painting - Watercolor Painting On Paper
Description
A painting about a traditional Portuguese Windmill (Moinho) from around Sintra.
The usage of the wind power has a long tradition in Portugal, because of the strong winds coming from the Atlantic Ocean. From the 11th century there are already records of the Portuguese traditional windmills, and even today we can visit some working, some transformed into houses, or restaurants, and touristic attractions.
I hope you like my new painting.
Original watercolour sold from my Karavella Atelier Etsy Shop.
