Description
My new watercolor painting about Cascais, near Lisbon in Portugal. This time not the usual view, but about the Palacio dos Condes de Castro Guimaraes, which is right next to the most photographed Santa Marta Lighthouse with the Casa Da Santa Maria.
A scenic coastal view features a stone bridge from which we usually we take the postcard perfect photos about the lighthouse, and a tall tower Torre de S. Sebastião surrounded by lush greenery. The calm water in the foreground reflects the vibrant landscape and the rocky shoreline which lead to the Atlantic ocean..
The building was a fairy tale looking former aristocratic residence, which overlooking the sea, and today host a museum. with Portuguese furniture, ceramics, paintings, and a large library.
The painting was inspired by my own photograph.
