We all know the excitement of getting close to the edge, and waiting for the spectacular view to reveal itself. And who visited Cabo Espichel Lighthouse in Portugal, already know, that is a view which difficult to forget.
Farol Cabo Espichel was one of the most important lighthouses of the Lisbon coastline. It is standing on a wild and barren headland on the southwestern tip Setubal Peninsula near Sesimbra, its construction dating back to the 15th century, its lights can be seen for 35km out to the sea, on a clear night.
I made this watercolor painting about mainly of the top part of the lighthouse with dramatic clouds and bright blue sky, is what we see before we get closer, and let our breath taken away by the view to the Atlantic Ocean, the rough cliffs, and other interesting buildings to visit nearby such as The Santuario de Nossa Senhora or a small Chapel of Ermida da Memória.
