My new commissioned watercolor painting about the Moliceiro Boats in Aveiro Portugal.

Aveiro is also called as the Portuguese Venice, a beautiful place at the west coast of Portugal, a maritime city with water in its soul.
The cityscape is divided by canals, set along a lagoon called Ria de Aveiro. The gondola style traditional painted boats of Aveiro called Moliceiros , they were used originally to harvest algae, which were used as fertiliser in the agriculture, now are tourist vessels. The making of these boats were passed from generation to generations, they are hand painted, many times with humorous erotic scenes, which can cause giggles to those who give attention to the details.
On a tour with these boats, you can admire the Art Nouveau style houses painted for pastel colours along the quays in the Rossio district.
