Amber Eyes - Orange Tabby Cat Painting by Dora Hathazi Mendes.
The photograph of this orange tabby, which was sent to my Cats Of Karavella Atelier Page by Patti, was brought up some nice memories from the time I was living in Poland!
Precisely about Krakow, the Amber City, as in the gorgeous eyes of this ginger cat, has all the beautiful shades of the amber.
The famous Baltic Amber can be as old as ninety million years, and as your as thirty million years. It may contain embedded objects of the same age such as insects, or even tiny vertebrates, fragments of plants, sand, etc.
Sure, amber is pretty often amber in color, but can be transparent or opaque or anything in between, its color may vary from ivory to all shades of reddish brown, to almost black or even green.
And the eyes of this ginger beauty has it all!
