Giraffe with fire by Dora Hathazi Mendes is a painting about a giraffe standing gracefully alarmed at a tree , aware of a strong fire is going on at African savannas. A warning sign that still life must go on, meanwhile changes are inevitable as humans are still not serious to face them.
What makes it special, that the giraffe has a unique pattern, due to the light of the fire, it has unusual green dots, instead of browns. Also the pattern of the animal is used in the background as decorative element in gold representing the fire as well.The colors of the picture are oranges, yellow, red, gold, reflecting the warmth of Africa.
