Branches of the Palm Tree 01 photograph by Dora Hathazi Mendes. Palm Trees has dating back nearly 80 million years ago. They were used for several purposes, not only for fruits that some species provided, but also for building houses, to make weapons, fences, ropes, clothing, baskets, or cooking tools, also were original materials for writing on, and the list of purposes just go on. In Christianity these trees are the symbol for instance of victory, and mentioned several times in Bible. There are more than 2600 different species exist, and because these trees are more common in Tropical areas, we associate them with beautiful places, sunshine, ocean, and summer leisure activities.
